This position is to support a US Government project that delivers geospatial mapping and analysis support, ensuring continuous innovation and maintenance through Agile methodologies. The technical solution is built on a modern stack that includes AWS services, ArcGIS for geospatial capabilities, Kubernetes for container orchestration, and Elastic Beanstalk for efficient deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience
- Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration among cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and stakeholders, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of MVPs.
- Impediment Removal: Identify and resolve roadblocks, risks, and dependencies that impede team progress.
- Backlog Management: Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and ensure that user stories and technical tasks are well-defined and actionable.
- Agile Best Practices: Promote and enforce Agile practices, ensuring adherence to the program’s Agile Strategy Plan and processes.
- Metrics Reporting: Track and report team performance metrics (e.g., Velocity, burndown charts) to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned from retrospectives and identifying process optimizations.
- Deputy Responsibilities: Act as the backup lead for the Project Manager, stepping into management roles as required.
- Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM); Advanced certifications (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Scrum Master experience in Agile software development.
- Strong facilitation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipelines.
