This position is to support a US Government project that delivers geospatial mapping and analysis support, ensuring continuous innovation and maintenance through Agile methodologies. The technical solution is built on a modern stack that includes AWS services, ArcGIS for geospatial capabilities, Kubernetes for container orchestration, and Elastic Beanstalk for efficient deployment, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience
- Responsibilities:
- Program Oversight: Lead the overall management of the program, ensuring alignment with contract objectives, budgets, and schedules.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the Contractor, Government stakeholders, Program Management Office (PMO), and Functional Management Office (FMO). Facilitate open communication, address concerns, and align project deliverables with Government priorities.
- Agile Governance: Oversee the implementation of Agile methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of Minimal Viable Product (MVP) releases and adherence to Agile principles.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project metrics, monitor resource utilization, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiency and quality of services.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards, regulatory requirements, and security policies. Prepare and submit monthly status reports, metrics, and audit deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks related to budget, schedule, and technical deliverables.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project team members, ensuring clear role assignments and accountability.
- Transition Management: Coordinate phase-in and phase-out activities during contract transitions, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of program/project management experience in federal government contracts.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Extensive knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity is preferred with DoD policies, NIPR/SIPR environments, and AWS Cloud.
